118 Group announces further expansion for the Chelmsford based business

118 Group holdings plc – the Essex based b2b operator with interests in Advertising, Directories, Media, Mobile, Publishing and Telecoms has announced further expansion in Chelmsford.

Speaking about the plans, Daniel Corby, CEO 118 Group said “We have identified another suitable property to open another 17,500 square foot call centre, which could, subject to planning consent accommodate upto 500 additional staff. We have today, completed the lease on an 8,000 square feet facility at Chelmer Village and coupled with our existing premises in Chelmsford could see the group grow to employ 1,000 people in Chelmsford alone. The business is growing quickly and we feel Chelmsford is well placed for rail and road links to make recruitment sensible for us. The obvious convenience of having most of our operations in one town is also clear. We have requested advice on planning consents today and expect to get the green light for the 17,500 square feet facility by Mid October”
