At every stage of production, from cortex to curtain, missfit productions, challenge what live performance can do.
WRITE SIDE OF THE BRAIN gives writers an accessible, supportive platform to explore new ideas, whilst ensuring the artists receive 40% of the box office profits to fund their future work. We also keep ticket prices to a minimum, encouraging those who are not yet engaged with theatre to come and experience what it might offer new audiences.

On every night of this week-long festival you will find ideas explored from unexpected angles. By combining drama, poetry, and performance art, WRITE SIDE OF THE BRAIN, offers audiences a unique performative experience, revealing, unexpected connections and meanings across different forms.
WRITE SIDE OF THE BRAIN includes emerging practitioners from all over Britain and Europe. Our practitioners have worked with the Royal Court, the Old Vic, the Pleasance Theatre, the Paines Plough Theatre, the Door, Birmingham Rep, the Half Moon Theatre, and Nabokov to name but a few.
