Pressbox (Press Release) -
Toddler Art is an online gallery which displays the artwork of toddlers and kids of all ages. Designed by mayadesign.co.uk, it started as a personal project displaying the work of a Bolton toddler, but has now grown into a large site with lots of pictures from lots of kids.
Pictures can either be scanned or digitally photographed and then e-mailed in individually, ending up in the All Comers Galleries; or else individual 'mini sites' can be created for a particular artist within the main site. This mini site can either be designed by adventurous parents, or else by mayadesign.
The site started taking off when it was reviewed in Internet Magazine in March, and was awarded 5 stars for design. Then when it was chosen as 'Website of the Day' on Steve Wright's show on BBC Radio 2, the visitor numbers shot up and the pictures started flooding in. Since then it has been 'Website of the Day' on various community websites, and was recently mentioned as 'worth a visit' in The Editor supplement of The Guardian.
Toddler Art is also proud to be associated with the Persil Big Mummy challenge, a partnership that was created following an approach by Persil.
Toddler Art runs a 'Picture of the Month' competition, and is very keen to secure some kind of sponsorhip for prizes. It would only need to be a small gift, and the return would be feature on what is becoming a very popular website with some very impressive traffic statistics.
