The Internet's first Perpetual Writing Contest

Added: (Mon Mar 27 2006)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Victoria, BC (PRESSPOST) March 26, 2006 -- Life for Change aims to reduce hunger throughout the world. The plan to accomplish this task has two stages.

The first stage awards $100 to authors whose stories receive the most votes. Anyone may submit a story; true stories are preferred and funny stories are desired. When you submit a story, it is read by people who may choose to vote for it. A story that receives enough votes is promoted to the front page. When the payout meter reaches $100, the story on the front page with the most votes wins its author $100.

Over time, the payouts will increase in value and frequency.

The second stage begins when payouts exceed $500. When this happens, $400 will be awarded to the author and $100 to a charitable organisation, such as World Hunger Year. This ratio will be maintained as the payout value increases.

Currently, Life for Change has over 160 stories with an average of three new stories being added daily.
