Posh-swaps.com to hold its next clothes swap party in the historic city of Bath

Posh-swaps.com will hold its next clothes swap party on 24th November in the historic city of Bath. The party follows the success of the first ever posh swaps clothes swap party in Chiswick in September which saw over 40 party goers swapping both designer and high street clothes including a Marc Jacobs coat and Missoni dress. Bath offers the perfect location for a clothes swap party with its wealth of vintage shops and Museum of Costume attracting fashion conscious tourists and locals.
Posh-swaps.com a website for swapping, buying and selling second hand and vintage clothes for free, was set up in April 2009, by Heathcote Communications Ltd an online fashion marketing company, in response to a growing awareness of the environmental impact of fast fashion and the need for stylish affordable fashion for those wanting to look good on a budget. The website also has a blog that gives information on eco and frugal fashion and celebrates unique and individual style. The Posh Swaps clothes swap parties give swappers the chance to have a fun but frugal night out whilst refreshing their wardrobe.
Ceri Heathcote, Director of Heathcote Communications commented “we wanted to create a place where people could find sustainable clothing and have fun without spending lots of money. Looking stylish is not about following the latest fashions, it is about wearing quality clothes to suit the wearers lifestyle, personality, colouring and body shape. These clothes make people look and feel great without the guilt of causing unnecessary environmental damage. Swapping is the new guilt free alternative to shopping giving fashionistas to constantly change their clothes without resorting to the environmentally damaging fast fashion”.
Swishing has become a huge phenomena in the UK with swappers choosing to socialise while they swap and also get to look at the clothes up close and try out new looks. Tickets to the Posh Swaps clothes swap party in Bath will also include a glass of wine and nibbles, entrance to the Posh Swaps fashion and beauty market, the chance to get styled by Emma McDonnell of Style to Wear and a Posh Swaps goody bag.
