Pressbox (Press Release) - This year's National Orchestra Week will see professional and amateur orchestras across the country join forces to offer the widest range of concerts, family days and special events in the event's five-year history. For the first time, the Association of British Orchestras is joined by Making Music, the National Federation of Music Societies, in a partnership that will enable orchestral musicians throughout the UK to take part in this unique celebration of orchestral life. This year's event takes place 9-17 March 2002, encouraging people of all ages to take part in activities organised by their local orchestras and music groups.
