M&I Materials strengthen Metrosil team

Dr Jeff Robertson has recently been appointed to the post of Technical Manager for Metrosil Silicon Carbide Surge Protectors at M&I Materials. Jeff’s background is within the field of High Voltage Electrical engineering. He has a proven track record in the development of new technologies and products. He has previously worked at BICC / Pirelli Cables and at the National Grid Research Centre, based at the University of Manchester.
“The development of new products and technology is the future of British Industry” states Jeff. “I’m now involved in a highly successful product line and will be helping to expand the business through the development of the Metrosil technology to alternative applications.” Jeff also works on the philosophy of providing the customer with a valued product. Jeff notes “The means to retain good customer relations is to provide them with high quality, customised solutions, with the technical support they require.”
Jeff is an active committee member of the IET Manchester Branch and a member of the IEEE DEIS. Outside work, he enjoys travelling and outdoor activities, such as walking and dinghy sailing.
