London’s creatives to join the download revolution

Pressbox (Press Release) - The digital download revolution is in full swing and CIDA’s new business support programme - Emerge London, will help London’s creative entrepreneurs to embrace innovation and reach new audiences via the Internet. Between September 2005 and March 2006 up to 30 minority-led creative businesses and artists will have the opportunity to make the most of the global trend of buying music, films and other creative products over the Internet.

Through practical workshops Emerge London will help local creative entrepreneurs to develop innovative new products, network effectively, plan ahead and promote their work online. Participant’s work will be showcased in downloadable format on a newly developed website (www.emergelondon.com), that will be promoted at key events across the capital. They will also be helped to develop relationships with London’s leading creative universities and will be supported with one-to-one advice and business support from CIDA’s specialist creative industries advisers.

Emerge London is led by CIDA - the Cultural Industries Development Agency, with branding and design by Intaract New Media. Emerge London is funded by the London Development Agency and the project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
