Island of Anyplace

Parents looking to expand their children's horizons beyond the mundane world of television and into something altogether more magical may wish to take a trip to Boston this year.
From October 11th to 14th, The American Repertory Theatre will stage its annual production of The Island of Anyplace, at the Loeb Drama Centre in Cambridge, just outside of the city.
The story centres around Jennifer, a girl who sits in the audience and then, along with her father, becomes part of the play itself.
Jennifer and her father - who becomes a magician when onstage - then undertake an incredible adventure meeting lots of weird and wonderful friends along the way.
The play has been staged each year since 1990, with the educational aim of introducing all elements of stage to the young audience.
In fact, the production has made it into Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Science's education guide for teachers who wish to use it as part of their syllabus.
