Wedding & Portrait Photographer, Mark Ashworth, was crowned London Portrait Photographer of the Year 2005.

Mark Ashworth, of newly established Ashworth Photography has added this coveted award to his growing accolades and received a fantastic trophy (pictured) by gaining the highest number of points, over four separate judgings, carried out throughout 2005. This highly acclaimed award was presented to Mark by Peter Dyer, international jury chairman of the London portrait Group.

Mark Ashworth comments, “I am delighted to have won what is hailed as an extremely prestigious award within our industry. For me, an award given for consistency rather than for one single image gives my clients great confidence in my photography and it is also extremely rewarding for me as a photographer.
My thanks go to Mark Seymour, Chairman of the London Portrait Group, Rob Brown and my fiancé Kirsty.
Mark Seymour comments, “ This year’s standard was extremely high. All the judges were particularly impressed with Marks photography. The competition is based over the year and points are awarded on a variety of images, for impact, originality, composition and print quality. Mark definitely deserved to win this award and we wish him the very best in his future career”.
