Pressbox (Press Release) -
The recent success of the HTC Hero and Tattoo has seen the Taiwan-based manufacturers seek to challenge its smartphone competitors for the market share of products. HTC sources have revealed that their latest advertising campaign exceeds any previous campaigns six times over.
HTC has also struck gold by attracting business in the Republic of Ireland. Irish operator Meteor has purchased the rights to sell the HTC Hero devices, while Vodafone will continue to sell the HTC Tattoo handsets across Southern Ireland. Ireland could potentially be a very lucrative nut to crack for HTC, with the country boasting over a million mobile phone users as well as the highest average revenue per user figures across the entire continent.
The company’s impressive portfolio of smartphones sees them confident of making their mark in the final quarter of 2009. The new HTC HD2 is due for release at the end of this month and its cinematic, high-quality touch screen will almost certainly wow consumers as the first capacitive touch technology Windows-powered phone.
Millions of mobile phone consumers will see the advertisement tagline “HTC – quietly brilliant” splashed across television, billboards and many web pages. The branding is set to continue well into the festive period, as HTC looks to entice its customers for Christmas with its enviable portfolio.
HTC’s UK and Ireland country manager, Jon French concurs that HTC is handily placed to steal a march on its rivals for 2010: “We genuinely believe we have a strong portfolio to take market share off a number of competitors but we are not necessarily targeted the competition or devices. We are trying to cut through that and be very different in the market place with innovative products like Hero. There is no other product like it. It has really shaken up the market.”
With HTC mobile phones powered by both Windows and Android operating systems, HTC’s extensive portfolio provides something for everyone.
