Pressbox (Press Release) - WINDSOR, CT (august 18, 2010) The Classic Motorboats calendar’s photographs of glorious examples of the golden age of motor boating may inspire you to restore one of your own. The calendar includes 12 photographs of antique motorboats that prove the skills of wooden boat builders. The just-released Classic Motorboats 2011 calendar is published by Tide-mark Press.

These classic motorboats provide as much exhilaration today as they did when they were produced. The boats were photographed by the editors of Classic Boating magazine.

January shows the only known operational Scripps F6 Junior Gold Cup-powered Chris-Craft, Chief Waramaug, a 22-foot Cadet, In March a 1935 Gar Wood 20.6-foot Utility with its original red upholstery struts its stuff. June brings No Golf Today, a 1947 Greavette 19-foot Runabout.

August shows off a 1953 Shepherd 27-foot Runabout. What was involved in the boat’s two-year restoration? The caption explains. More wonderful pictures are featured throughout the year.
