Breaking News: Rochester Songwriter Hits the Music Industry Chart
Added: (Sun Dec 18 2005)
"Spread My Wings and Fly" written by songwriter Eric Stephens of Rochester, New York, has charted at #2377 in the Atlantic Satellite (atlantic-satellite.com) Top 2,500 by way of Songwriter's Radio Service (SRS), documenting global commercial radio Airplay. The song, even in demo format, is successfully competing with all the super stars and Major Label releases for broadcaster's, music and program director's airplay.
There are approximately 35,000 songs playing at any given time around the world, with additional 10,000 or so seasonal standards by various artists through the Year End Holidays. All seasonal product should be ready for manufacture not later than 120 days prior to the Holiday Date and uploaded not later than 90 days prior to accommodate shipping and to get through programming.
Kleopatra's Productions is an authorized Global Song Broker, and in association with SRS (songwritersradioservice.com), permits established and unknown music authors and composers to place their self-or-unpublished demos directly into the hands of those making broadcast/use decisions: Music and Program Directors and Managers. No 'judges', no 'critiques', no 'comments', no 'censorship'.
SRS has secured PromoLibrary (Electronic Music Service/EMS) access for Songwriters Demos (SWD) providing worldwide coverage and music user access at the lowest cost in the market today. Once in the registry and uploaded, songwriters can finally get their works on to an even playing field where their music will remain indefinitely.
Songwriters whose demos achieve chart status have their works legitimately recognized to the industry at large.
Full details can be found at www.Kleopatra.com
It only takes four steps, to put unpublished music into the
competition.
1. Have an original, copyrighted and self/unpublished musical, or other, work;
2. Have an Air Quality demo in cassette or CD, preferably CD, can be in mp3 format;
3. REGISTER each song with Songwriter Radio Services;
4. With a Registration Number, request SWD contract from Kleopatra's Promotional Services then send us a demo for uploading along with completed contract and fee.
That's it. And what happens next - after you have done all this? The demo will be uploaded to PromoLibraries where it can compete on the same level Playing Field with the biggest labels and names in the Industry.
Broadcast Programmers and Music Directors make the final decision as to what will and what will not be heard in their system, be it a radio station or background music provider. No phony judges, No phony critiques, Just your music in the hard world of recorded music where even Major Labels and Super Stars must compete for Program/Music Directors approval. If your music is as good as you think it is, this is the way to find out if anyone else (like broadcasters) think so too.
All Program/Music Directors use music products that are available or ready to be heard, and many subscribe to EMS for new content. Since radio is the Key to every record's success, imagine the impact of a song chosen by the broadcasters for a change! And it is affordable.
If your demo logs commercial air in direct competition with other released recorded product, it has a far better chance of attracting legitimate Publishers' attention. Will it log air? We don't know, and neither does anybody else, until the Program and Music Directors get to hear it. With that, note Songwriter Eric Stephens's demo "Spread My Wings and Fly" is just such a success.
