Added: (Tue Apr 14 2009)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A British artist based in Sweden has made and sold an art work based upon the current global financial crisis. And all the proceeds have been given to charity.

Geoff Bunn is a British conceptual artist, he has lived and worked in recent years in both France and Sweden. His latest work was based on the global mess and consisted of a collection of object which have been made valueless by the dramatic recession of 2008/09. All the pieces for the work were donated by members of the general public.

Over the course of a few months, Bunn collected the pieces and then assembled them together in a giant wooden crate. The final piece was entitled 'Crated Global Mess'.

The piece was sold to a private buyer in France for a reputed 10,000 (about 8,500) and all the proceeds have been donated to a charity of the buyers choosing.
