ANTIQUE TUBE RADIOS SURVIVE NUCLEAR ATTACK

Added: (Tue Dec 29 2009)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Early in 1960s both USA & then USSR found, during upper atmosphere (edge of space) nuclear tests, that on the ground tubes survive and transistors do not.

In order to shut down the target city communications, along with ability to evacuate or retaliate, it is very likely the first blast will come at us from above.

The Antique Radios Radio Shack http://nucow.com customer research, found not only obvious things, like antique tube radios are Art Deco rising heirloom investments or office & den truly conversation “cool” but actually have truly practical use.
With the 120 VAC outlets, still likely providing power or a gasoline generator that, tube radios will still work regardless of an EMP and may someday save you or a future descendent. Remember if the purchased radio supplier does not guaranty like new operation and totally restored to excellent quality, unit is not a reliable source of evacuation information, plus not rise in collectable value over time.
The only thing seen would be a flash of light above city, followed by sudden permanent failure of most electronics in use today. A ground attack likely would then ensue during this total large city panic.
Not producing physical damage to target but Electromagnetic Pulse, which destroys transistors & integrated circuits, that run all your computers, radios, telephones and televisions in most use today. Since the ignition is microcomputer controlled, even your modern automobile will not start. Better known, as the extremely large EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) nuclear explosion creates, along with blast force, sun surface temperature, plus harmful particle radiation.
All the USA nuclear missiles have integrated guidance circuits that are radiation hardened (costs 1000 times more) so not misguided by EMP blast.
All the Russian nuclear missiles have tube guidance circuits that do not require the very expensive radiation hardening.
Tubes have 90 years of perfected proven reliability. You now know some real reasons Russians & others, along with all microwave ovens and every high powered transmitter in the world, use tubes not transistors.
