What's New In RPCS3

Added: (Thu Aug 13 2020)

Pressbox (Press Release) - RPCS3 is a free and open-source video game console emulator for PlayStation 3. First founded by the programmers DH and Hykem, this Sony PlayStation 3 console emulator is today being developed by Nekotekina and kd-11. It is completely open-source and multi platformed. It was deployed to the public in June 2012 and right then, it started getting used and praised by the play stationers and the huge open-sourced community. The RPCS3's database has around 3156 games out of which 1876 of them are listed under the ‘Playable' (the games that are greatly playable and do not have any chance for game-breaking glitch) category, 1052 are listed under ‘Ingame' (games that cannot be completed, do not give a good performance and has glitches, 219 under ‘Intro' (games that just shows images), 8 under ‘Loadable' (games that display nothing but a black screen and it's frame rate) and the last 2 under ‘Nothing' (games that just won't load).

RPCS3 can be downloaded in PlayStation 3, Windows (7, 8, and 10), Linux, and BSD as far as certain software requirements are met. The highly recommended requirements to play the perfectly playable games on Windows are CPU with Intel 4-core with HT / 6-cores and above (Haswell and up) or AMD 6-core with SMT / 8-cores and up (Ryzen only). A Modern AMD / NVIDIA Vulkan compatible GPU graphic card is a necessity, RAM of 8GB memory or greater, and the storage requirements depend upon each game. Since every game has a different size so the storage required is different from every one of them. However, if these requirements are not fulfilled, one can also go with the minimum requirements settings. To download it, the PlayStation system software is needed. And for Windows, Linux BSD, a 64-bit operating system is a necessity.
