Norfolk writer’s passion for writing and romance

Added: (Wed May 15 2019)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A retired Norfolk vet’s love of travel and ladies has led to him publishing more than a dozen romantic novels.
Graham Duncanson’s passion for writing began during his first veterinary posting to Kenya.
With no television or other distractions, the newly-qualified animal doctor spent his African nights reading.
The divorced father of two later published five authoritative books on animals and treatments.
And since his retirement from the surgery, the 75-year-old went onto produce a stream of sensational novels set in some of the world’s most exotic locations.
His latest, Sarah, is set between Arica and England during the years and months leading up the Second World War.
Sarah is an action-packed romantic thriller which leaves readers guessing until the final pages.
Graham said: “Sarah is all about the main character, Sarah, and the man of her affections, Hector.
“When he leaves Kenya to go to England to study to be a vet, she plucks up courage to kiss him.
“On his return their love quickly blossoms, but it is 1938 and war threatens everything – including their relationship.
“Separately they face horrendous dangers in their heroic efforts for the allied cause.”
It was an upbringing on a farm during and after the Second World War that led Graham to develop a passion for animals.
Despite failing his O-Level English at school he was to discover a hidden talent for the written word after graduating from Bristol Veterinary School.
As well as five books on veterinary treatments, Graham also published several peer-reviewed journals and wrote regularly for newspapers.
But it his novels, which include Jenny, Lucy, Three Lovely Girls, Fiona, Polly and Freda which have earned him plaudits.
Graham added: “I have always been interested in disseminating knowledge and so I published in peer reviewed journals and wrote articles in veterinary newspapers.
“To further my desire to disseminate knowledge I have written five veterinary text books.
“This led to a desire to write a novel.
“And I have now written and published more than a dozen.”
