Pressbox (Press Release) - Shri Abjibapa, also known as Bapashri or Abjibapashri, was a spiritual leader and founder of the Swaminarayan Sampraday in Gujarat, India. He was born on November 20, 1844, in the small village of Mahelav in Gujarat, India.
Shri Abjibapa was deeply spiritual from a young age and showed a great interest in religious texts and teachings. He was particularly drawn to the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan, the founder of the Swaminarayan sect, and spent much of his time studying and practicing them. As he grew older, Shri Abjibapa became more and more interested in spreading the message of Lord Swaminarayan and founded the Swaminarayan Sampraday.
The Swaminarayan Sampraday, also known as the Swaminarayan sect, is a Hindu sect that follows the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan. The sect emphasizes devotion to God, moral and ethical living, and service to others. Shri Abjibapa was instrumental in spreading these teachings throughout India and the world, and today the Swaminarayan sect has millions of followers worldwide.
Shri Abjibapa was known for his simplicity and humility, and his teachings emphasized the importance of living a simple and ethical life. He was a staunch advocate of non-violence and believed in the power of love and compassion. He often said that the key to a happy and fulfilling life was to live in harmony with oneself and with others, and to always be mindful of the needs of others.
Shri Abjibapa was also a prolific writer and wrote extensively on the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan. His works include the Vachanamrut Rahasyarth Pradeepika, which contains his interpretations of the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan, and the Bhaktachintamani, which is a guide to devotional living.
Throughout his life, Shri Abjibapa remained deeply devoted to Lord Swaminarayan and spent much of his time meditating and praying. He was also a dedicated teacher and spent many hours each day teaching his followers and disciples about the Swaminarayan Sampraday and its teachings.
Shri Abjibapa passed away on August 2, 1951, but his legacy lives on through the Swaminarayan Sampraday and his teachings continue to inspire millions of people around the world.
