SEO (Search Engine Optimization) - Myths to Leave Behind This Year, According to SEO Agencies

Added: (Fri Jun 24 2022)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Idea that SEO is dead has been circulating for several years. The truth is SEO is NOT dead. But it is back in a new “Avatar”.

In May, Google released a significant update to its search algorithm. This core update is designed to change the search algorithm in many ways which site owners must be aware of. For starters, it will affect how products are reviewed & ranked on the SERP and the local maps algorithm.

These changes come from advancements in Google’s Cloud Vision AI. This tech can distinguish product images in far more detail than it did previously. In addition, it can identify keywords relating to the content of the pictures. This means that when you’re planning your SEO efforts, images will be a critical part of search engine ranking.

This includes how images are contextualized and where keywords are placed concerning those images. According to Google, images must now be placed near relevant text and must be embedded in structurally-sound HTML code. In addition, the images themselves need to be high-quality to be interpreted correctly by the Google AI. Titles, captions, filenames, and image texts must be conceptually and contextually relevant.

Businesses that don’t pay attention to these trends could be in for a big shock when their rankings drop.
