Expat's encounter with an angel inspired book writing

Pressbox (Press Release) - Encountering an angel in Shoreditch, London and being presented to Princess Diana during an Anti-Drugs event has led to Tracy-Ann Martin finding the courage to finally write her debut novel.
Tracy-ann who is currently based in Italy, has just released La Serenissima – a Love Story to critical acclaim.
Her debut novel has been described by readers as being ‘fantastic’, ‘a really captivating story’, and ‘an absolute must-read’.
Ralph Calvert was among the reviewers who gave La Serenissima – a Love Story five stars.
He said: “From start to finish this book was extremely interesting.”
La Serenissima – a Love Story follows the fortunes of divorced mum-of-two Elizabeth, who heads to Venice for a much-needed break, with her teenage children.
But she soon discovers her arrival in the Italian city coincides with a 600-year-old prophecy that could bring down all religions, faiths as much as all of mankind.
The well-researched and exceedingly well-written novel pits Elizabeth and a Venetian priest against the Dark Ones.
Tracy-Ann said: “Elizabeth soon realises that it was no coincidence she was in Venice after too many illogical and ominous events.
“She soon meets a priest - they connect profoundly - and it becomes apparent that the trip was down to divine timing.
“The islanders, church elders, a Greek priest and her family are all brought together to fulfil a prophecy.
“Together, all must face the Dark Ones who intend to bring about a battle of biblical proportions that will commence on La Serenissima.”
While the plot of La Serenissima – a Love Story is riveting, the reasons why Tracy-Ann picked up the pen in the first place are almost as incredible.
As well as being rewarded for her poetry and art work at a Southwark charity event in London and with an unexpected invitation to meet Princess Diana, she also encountered an angel at a bus stop outside Shoreditch Church.

And both memorable moments encouraged Tracy-Ann to explore her creative side further.
She explained: “Princess Di was warm, interested, very impressionable and down to earth.
“After Diana had left, I was presented with an award for every poem and art work I had entered into the competition, I was the over-all winner, and was totally overwhelmed and amazed.
“It was a beautiful day and for a great cause, and Princess Di really inspired me to continue to be creative from then on.
“Around that time, I had become elated about life and the universe through metaphysical teaching from a seer, and had a sudden epiphany one morning as I left the bus at the last stop, being Shoreditch Church, London.
“I turned the corner with trepidation because I had an overwhelming feeling that someone or thing was coming towards me. I had butterflies and waited to see who it was.
“I saw a full bus pull in, and people tried to get off or squeeze on, it was chaotic and in the middle of the crowd was a man in white, he was tall, at least eight feet and he stood out like a sore thumb, and he shone from within. No one else noticed him which bewildered me.
“He moved past me, within touching distance - he looked straight ahead but absorbed me, he came to enlighten me, I knew he had wings although they were hidden from me.
“I struggled with that encounter for so many years and did not know what to do with it. It was most certainly a message.
“So, I gave the angel wings in my book and made him credible and set him free to all who believe and those who do not.
“I feel it is what he wanted me to do, that was why he visited me.”
Tracy-Ann is currently working on the sequel to La Serenissima – a Love Story.
