Worcs spiritual author gets personal with new book

Highly successful spiritual author Nicki Leonie has returned with a new series of books – and this time it’s personal.
The 54-year-old from Worcestershire made an instant impact two years with the release of the first in her six-part soul-searching series of self-help guides.
As well reaching the top ten with Soul Reflections, Nicki was invited by several media outlets to discuss her influential writing.
A pandemic later, Nicki has resurfaced with another authoritative series of guides charting her own battles with fibromyalgia.
And part one, That Fibro… Feeling, has already reached the top ten in Amazon’s highly competitive self-help charts.
Nicki said: “That Fibro… series of books are based on my experience with this illness, they are written in a reflective and positive way, in these books I use my own words and pictures to impart my journey with fibromyalgia.
“These books reflect what I have experienced and how I have coped so far.
“They are honest, and I openly present my thoughts on how fibromyalgia has affected my life.
“It is a complicated and challenging illness, but I choose to remain positive.”
Fibromyalgia is believed to affect as many as one in 20 people.
As well as causing widespread pain around the body, it also leads to extreme tiredness, problems with sleeping and occasionally memory loss.
Nicki’s courageous attempt to live normally with the debilitating condition is brought to life in the That Fibro… series, as well as allowing her to provide advice and tips for fellow sufferers.
Nicki, who has not allowed her dyslexia to prevent her from becoming a published writer, added: “It is very human to take for granted our good health only realising how fortunate we are when it is no longer there.”
“When a long-term chronic illness comes into your world nothing will ever be the same again, but in a strange way it can bring many rewarding changes.
“I believe all of life has a purpose, and though my health has certainly challenged me and taken much of that which I was sure of away, it has also brought me a new direction in my life and a new purpose”.
“Being dyslexic, the qualifications I have studied for and passed have been a great achievement for me.”
“Becoming published and being able to talk to a wider audience about my illness and how I constantly strive to find ways to improve my health is also very important to me, I have always believed that knowledge should be shared.”
Nicki was encouraged to pursue her Spiritual gifts by her mother, and in doing so she also developed her creative abilities.
