Former West Midlands councillor’s new book published

Added: (Wed Nov 24 2021)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A former West Midlands councillor is bringing some much-needed soul warming to his loyal readers this winter.
Richard Adamski from Walsall has followed up his remarkable debut novel from last year, Three Trees, with a highly imaginative collection of short stories.
The 66-year-old, heavily influenced by decades of consuming Gothic and horror fiction, has delved deep into the paranormal for the highly accomplished Tales to Warm the Soul.
More than 40 original and thought-provoking stories lurk between the covers of Richard’s first published anthology.
Richard, who list the likes of Dennis Wheatley, H P Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe among his favourite authors, said: “Tales to Warm the Soul is an apt description of what each tale hopes to achieve.
“Written over a period of many years there are ghosts, the afterlife, mediums, friendly aliens, time travel, romance and plenty more to provide that feel-good factor.”
Following the success of his allegorical-packed Three Trees novel, which turned a picturesque woodland into mirror image of a problem-ridden inner-city estate, Richard released a magnificent futuristic, sci-fi novel, Invasion, earlier this year.
While a further novel is in the pipeline, the former drug addict dusted down and reworked dozens of his remarkably good short stories.
Among the many highlights of Tales to Warm the Soul, readers will encounter the medium who performs a miracle for a group of doubters in a village hall.
They will also get to meet the elderly lady who befriends a chapter of Hells Angels after saving one of their lives.
And Richard’s even provided his own updated take on A Wonderful Life, where computers provide a link with guardian angels.
To be read in single story episodes, or in its entirety in one sitting, Tales to Warm the Soul will leave readers reflecting and rethinking for some time afterwards.
Richard added: “The thing that links most of the stories together in the collection is that all is not what it seems.
“I am sure many of the heart-warming stories will put a smile on the faces of the readers.
“If the stories haven’t already brought a smile, I am sure the Whoo-Hoo-Whoo song at the end will, particularly if you’re a spiritualist.”
