Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a self-financed Deemed-to-be university located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. The institute was established in the year 1984 by Shri. G. Viswanathan, a former parliamentarian and minister in the Tamil Nadu. VIT is one of the most celebrated educational institutes in India. It was initially referred to as Vellore Engineering College which was later changed to its current name.
Vellore Institute of Technology has clearly stated the procedure for access to the courses offered by it. The admission procedure consists of multiple stages and is listed below.
Stage 1. Registration
The candidate needs to register on the official website of VIT for registration. To visit the official website of the college, click here. You are required to enter your valid email address and active mobile number. Following which you will receive an OTP for verification and email consisting of password for further procedures.
Stage 2. Sign in
After receiving the password login through your email address and password received from VIT
Stage 3. Fill application form
The candidate needs to fill the application form with all correct details. After successfully filling the application form, your unique application number will be sent, which needs to be preserved for further correspondence.
Stage 4. Payment
Next step is the payment of application fee through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card or Paytm. Application cost is mention below

Stage 5. Photo and Signature Upload
After payment, softcopy of your photo and signature should be uploaded.
Scanned files (.jpg format) of your photo (3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size) and signature (3.5 cm width x 1.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size)
Stage 6. Download filled-in application form
Download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence.
Applicants NEED NOT SEND a hard copy of the filled-in Application Form to VIT.

Stage 8. Counselling
The candidate shortlisted will be intimated about the same through its official website. No personal information will be given. The candidate needs to visit the campus on the assigned date and venue. They need to bring themselves the original and self-attested copy of documents listed below. The copy of documents submitted will not be returned and is to be stored in the college’s archive.
The selected candidate will have to submit a demand draft of the intimated amount for counselling. After successful getting admitted, the candidate needs to pay the first year fee for the admitted programme within the stipulated time. Failing to do the same will lead to cancellation of the application.
