In 2020 she was made Group Accountant/Team Lead Accounting & Tax, a role that saw her play a major role in the development and professionalization of xSuite’s finance division. - Newly Released Vishay ESD Protection Diodes to be distributed by NYE
- NORTHVALE, New Jersey, USA – New Yorker Electronics has announced Vishay’s release of its new CLP Series of ESD Protection Diodes/EMI Filters. The series includes three types of devices: Single-line ESD Protection Diodes, a 4-line ESD Protection Diode Array and a 2-channel EMI Filter.
The Vishay Semiconductors’ VBUS and VCUT Single-line ESD Diodes are housed in the ultra-compact 0.27mm x 0.3mm x 0.6mm CLP0603-2L package. They are Bidirectional and Symmetrical (BiSy) ESD protection devices that clamp positive and negative overvoltage transients to ground. Connected between the signal or data line and the ground, they offer high isolation (low leakage current, low capacitance) within the specified working range. Due to its short leads and small package size, the diode’s line inductance is very low, allowing fast transients such as an ESD-strike to be clamped with minimal over- or undershoots.
The four-line VBUS54FD-SD1 4-line diode is housed in the 0.27mm x 0.7mm x 1.0mm CLP1007-5L case. It possesses the characteristic of a Z-diode with a high ESD immunity and a very low capacitance. With the VBUS54FD-SD1, four high-speed data lines can be protected against transient voltage signals like ESD (electro static discharge). Connected to the data line (pin 1, 3 and pin 4, 5) and to ground (pin 2) negative transients will be clamped close below the ground level while positive transients will be clamped close above the 5.5V working range. The clamping behavior of the VBUS54FD-SD1 is bidirectional but asymmetrical (BiAs) and so it offers optimal protection for applications running up to 5.5V.
The VEMI256A-SD2 2-Channel EMI-Filter with ESD-Protection is designed in the ultra compact CLP1007-5M package. It too is 0.27mm x 0.7mm x 1.0mm and weighs only 0.45 mg. It provides low leakage current, a line resistance of RS = 60Ohm and a typical cut off frequency of f3dB = 60 MHz.
The entire Chip-Level Package series supplied by New Yorker Electronics offers a working range of ±3.3V to ± 15V with low leakage current of less than 0.05µA and a low capacitance of under 0.4pF. The operating temperature range is between -55°C and +150°C which is ideal for usage in smartphones, gaming systems, digital cameras, wearables and automotive devices. They’re RoHS compliant and use lead-free terminations. Because of the very low capacitance of the VBUS03B1-SD0, it can also be used for high-speed data ports like HDMI, USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt.

CYTRIO’s data privacy research shows CCPA non-compliance from Q4 2021 continues into Q1 2022 despite impending enforcements
BOSTON — April 26, 2022 — CYTRIO, a next-generation data privacy rights management company, released findings from additional independent research it conducted during Q1 2022 on the state of companies’ readiness to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As of March 31, 2022, the findings uncovered that 90% of companies are not fully compliant with CCPA and CPRA Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) requirements. Further, 95% of companies are using error prone and time consuming manual processes for GDPR DSAR requirements.
“Our continuous research confirms that first generation privacy rights management solutions have not gained wide adoption due to cost and deployment complexity, resulting in a high percentage of CCPA non-compliance,” said Vijay Basani, founder and CEO of CYTRIO. “This problem will become more pronounced as CPRA enforcement takes effect in 2023 with the stringent 12-month lookback. As the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) begins active enforcement of CCPA and CPRA, non-compliance to DSAR requests will become cost prohibitive for both medium and large sized companies.”
CYTRIO released its inaugural State of CCPA Compliance research results in January, the largest of its kind, studying 5,175 U.S. companies with revenues ranging from $25 million to more than $5 billion. The findings showed that only 11% of companies were fully meeting CCPA requirements, while 89% of companies were either non-compliant or somewhat compliant. From January to March, CYTRIO researched an additional 1,570 companies for CCPA and GDPR DSAR compliance, bringing the total to 6,745 companies to date.
This most recent research shows only 10% of companies have deployed an automated CCPA DSAR management solution. Additionally, B2B and B2C companies of all sizes are equally and poorly unprepared for CCPA compliance, and B2B and B2C companies are also woefully unprepared for GDPR compliance, despite the regulation going into effect in May 2018 with $1.8 billion fines levied as of March 2022.
From Q4 2021 to Q1 2022, the top three most compliant verticals remained the same with Business Services, Retail, and Finance making up 54% of the companies researched. While the top three most compliant states (California, New York, and Texas) remained the same, the total number of companies from those states as a percentage of total companies decreased from 31% to 25%, indicating other states seem to be catching up.
Last month, Utah passed the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, moving closer to becoming the fourth state to enact privacy legislation in the U.S., behind California, Colorado, and Virginia. Currently, 22 states, including Alaska, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, Wisconsin, and New Jersey, have multiple consumer privacy legislation pending.
A key observation in this research was that DSARs coming from data aggregators are increasing in frequency and volume with the majority of requests being Right to Delete (Erasure). To be in compliance, companies must respond to these requests in a timely manner.

When setting up scaffolding, you should wear a helmet, a seat belt, and non-slip shoes.
For safety reasons, do not disassemble the rods when using the Octagonal Scaffolding.

- MPAI publishes Working Draft of Use Cases and Functional Requirements of Multimodal Conversation V2
- Geneva, Switzerland – 20 April 2022. The international, non-profit, unaffiliated Moving Picture, Audio and Data Coding by Artificial Intelligence (MPAI) standards developing organisation has concluded its 19th General Assembly. Among the outcomes is the publication of the working draft of the Use Cases and Functional Requirements of the planned Version 2 of the Multimodal Conversation (MPAI-MMC) standard. The MPAI process envisages that a standard be developed based on a Call for Technologies referring to two documents Functional Requirements and Framework Licence. While the MPAI-MMC V2 documents are still being finalised, MPAI offers an initial working draft (http://mpai.community/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/N646-MPAI-MMC-Use-Cases-and-Functional-Requirements-WD1.3.docx) of the Functional Requirements to alert the industry of its intention to initiate the development of the standard. This will happen when the Call for Technologies is published (planned to be the 13th of July 2022). Responses are expected to be submitted on the 10th of October 2022 and the standard to be published in the first few months of 2023.
Version 2 will substantially extend the capabilities of Version 1 of the MPAI-MMC standard (https://mpai.community/standards/mpai-mmc/introduction-to-mpai-mmc/) by supporting three new use cases:
1. Conversation About a Scene: a human holds a conversation with a machine about objects in a scene of which the human is part. While conversing, the human points their fingers to indicare their interest in a particular object.
2. Human-Connected Autonomous Vehicle Interaction: a group of humans has a conversation on a domain-specific suject (travel by car) with a Connected Autonomous Vehicle. The machine understands the utterances, the emotion in the specch and in the faces, and the expression in their gestures. The machine manifests itself as the torso of an avatar whose face and head convey emotions congruent with the the speech it utters.
3. Avatar Videoconference. In this instance of Mixed-reality Collaborative Space (MCS), avatars represent humans participating in a videoconference. Avatars reproduce the movements of the torsoes of human participants with a high degree of accuracy.
MPAI develops data coding standards for applications that have AI as the core enabling technology. Any legal entity supporting the MPAI mission may join MPAI (https://mpai.community/how-to-join/join/) , if able to contribute to the development of standards for the efficient use of data.
