PI UK’s polygraph machine works by measuring heart rate, blood pressure, and perspiration. These measurements correspond to stress responses in the body, which indicate whether or not someone is telling the truth. The tests can be conducted on any willing participant to help to resolve interpersonal disputes or to conduct corporate investigations and are accurate about 95% of the time. Although not admissible in criminal court, the test results can
sometimes be used civil courts.
Private lie detector tests are the latest of the services that PI UK offer. They are being offered as standalone tests, or as part of a wider investigation.
