Lloyd suspects Blake of making a move on his new girlfriend Zara, Ricardo falls in lust with the sexy gym girl, and Vinnie is more in love with Betsy, his yellow 1969 fiat sports car.   • 10 years of The Argues: The Movie! - Back in 2011, The Argues: The Movie hit the silver screen, much to the chagrin of all involved. Since the film was festering in the incubation tank since 2010, one year prior, one could say that 2020 is the 10 year anniversary! The future decade was bleak, and it was swathed by duck puppets. We’re hardly out of this yet. Many have also compared this madcap adventure to watching paint dry, some even citing paint as more exciting - you can search “THE ARGUES: THE MOVIE trailer” to see for yourself. But hey, we enjoyed it! We also enjoyed silencing those who would oppose the new world order, led by our very own puppet duck, LEON SKANKS. Since this role, the puppet has enjoyed many successes in his career, eventually ascending to the figure we all know and love today: the omniscient God Emperor who rules over this modern dystopia! With music supervised and a soundtrack created by Blue Pie Records, and with the film being distributed by Planet Blue Pictures USA, this film was an honour to work on. The Argues The Movie is a story of how a son, a mother, and a duck named Leon Skank assault the Hollywood star system in an attempt to secure work through one of the biggest international actors’ agents in the world, Ed Tomato at ICU Management Los Angeles. However, things don‘t go so well! The ramifications of their approach to secure Ed as an agent result in a chase around the world and the World Wide Web after “Skanky”, David’s puppet duck, becomes the talk of the town. This is a story of remembrance, rehabilitation and outrageous situations that offer a bizarre insight into the world of showbiz and the struggles of an out of work actor. ARGUEably a funny, mad and eccentric trip! The film released on September 24th 2011, exclusive to Hoyts Theatres, and ran for one week. Blue Pie worked with Barry Crocker and the Adopt-A-Pensioner Campaign for the film’s cinematic release. This came after Barry Crocker’s meeting with Prime Minister Julia Gillard to discuss propositions for the Adopt-A-Pensioner campaign, which he was heavily involved in. Amongst his propositions, the Adopt-A-Pensioner campaign worked with The Argues The Movie, encouraging Australians to Adopt-A-Pensioner by taking a pensioner to the movie for free! After pitching the idea of the ‘take a pensioner to THE ARGUES for free’ campaign to the Prime Minister at the time, Julia Gillard, she responded: “That is a fantastic idea and a great thing to do. Congratulations!” In honour of this milestone of ten years since the film’s successful (depending on who you ask) release, the official website for the film has been given an overhaul! The cast listing has been updated, and the film is yours to watch on major platforms, including Amazon and iTunes! With an all-star musical roster featuring Didge On Fire and TYZ, as well as that “unique” sense of humour that is so very Aussie, this iconic cult film is sure to settle any Arguments you might have regarding the underbelly of Hollywood. While he’s still a bit too underground to be smack dab in the middle of the big time, that could also allow him to tap further into his passion as an artist! These numbers don’t lie – Steps and World Of Difference are seeing the success they are because they’re both excellent works by a truly passionate musical individual.   • Bangladesh is about to lose its battle against Covid-19 endemic - Bangladesh, a small nation in South Asia is on the verge of facing an unimaginable consequence following government’s total failure in taking timely measures in containing the spread of coronavirus within its population of 180 million.  Unfortunately, this fastest growing economy in Asia is proceeding towards an imminent fate of death of at least two million people, while millions of people would be affected by Covid-19 within the span of next 2-3 weeks. The ultimate result of such huge effect would badly crash its economic growth, which would almost certainly push Bangladesh towards the fate of one of the worst sufferers of upcoming grand recession in the world. The country’s readymade garment sector, which is one of the two major sources of foreign exchange earning may even go totally or greatly dry thus leaving at least three million workers jobless. The sign of existence of Covid-19 patients started showing in Bangladesh from the second week of March, though the top policymakers in the country were left into total dark. On the condition of anonymity, an official in the World Health Organization (WHO) said, “Bangladesh could have stopped the spread of coronavirus within its population if the government had imposed ban on foreign flights from the second week of March and identify those returnees from the coronavirus affected countries and put them into isolation. This was a huge opportunity that Bangladesh has already missed.” The second blunder of the Bangladesh authorities was declaring a week-long holiday from 24 March while they did not take any measures in stopping the massive outflow of Dhaka city’s working class, who had gone to their homes in the smaller towns and villages taking the advantage of this sudden holiday. Covid-19 had spread among thousands of people, who were hurriedly leaving Dhaka city, mostly in large groups, through rail, road, river and airways. WHO official has categorically termed such massive departure of thousands of people from Dhaka city to smaller towns and villages as “irreparable blunder”. But the last nail in the coffin was hit by the leaders of Bangladesh Readymade Garment Manufacturer’s and Exporter’s Association (BGMEA), which had all on a sudden asked the workers to join their works from 5 April. This was clearly suicidal. According to statistics and news reports from Bangladesh, its capital city Dhaka and adjacent business town Narayanganj have already become the epicenter of Covid-19 with unknown number of patients. The government has totally failed in realizing the potential health hazard of such a situation. Furthermore, Bangladeshi media and social media are claiming of hundreds of Covid-19 affected people fleeing Narayanganj town in fear of being identified. They are reportedly entering other cities, towns and villages thus spreading the virus within a massive segment of the population. On 9 April, British journalist David Bergman in a Facebook post wrote: “A Bangladesh Army major has tested positive for Covid-10, two ranking military officers have independently confirmed to Netra News. This is the first case of a military officer getting infected with the virus in Bangladesh.” Mr. Bergman further wrote, “Corona positive – confirmed. [First] case [in] Bangladesh Army”, one of the military officers wrote to Netra News. They also shared the name and other identifying details of theCovid-19infected officer, which we are not publishing due to privacy concerns. We can however, say that the infected major is a member of the Army Medica; Corps and until recently on duty at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka. “When contacted by Netra News, a spokesperson of the Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) said he was not aware of any such case of Covid-19 infection of a member of the Bangladeshi armed forces. “On March 24th, the Bangladesh government deployed the army to the defence ministry, about 3400 military personnel have been deployed across the country  primarily to enforce social distancing but also for preparing lists of people who have tested positive for Covid-19. The troops can be seen patrolling the streets in Dhaka and other cities calling on people to stay indoors and dispersing any crowds. “As of April the 7th, people are officially reported to have died from the Covid-19 virus in Bangladesh, with 164 testing positive. It is not clear whether the positive test of the army major has been included in the official figure.” It may be added here that Netra News, a recently launched news portal was blocked by the Bangladesh authorities. Bangladesh losing the battle Health experts say, Bangladesh authorities could conveniently win its battle against Covid-19 only if the top decisionmakers in the country, particularly Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would have been correctly briefed about the exact scenario. The fastest growing economy in Asia is now on the verge of facing acute economic hardship, which would start showing up from end June this year. Because of its high population density Bangladesh is already at high risk of community transmission affecting a large percentage of the country’s population. A group that is particularly vulnerable in this situation is the millions of Rohingya refugees who have been living in packed refugee camps near the Bangladesh-Myanmar border ever since Bangladesh has decided to host them. This makes Bangladesh’s case different from other densely populated countries- a large number of its residents come from neighboring Myanmar who flee their country in 2017 because of communal violence and military crackdown. Although, right now, the international community is backing Bangladesh and pressuring Myanmar to take the refugees back, the tables may soon turn if Covid-19 spreads to those refugee camps. To Bangladesh, a community transmission of Covid-19 among the Rohingya refugees would bring about an unwarranted disaster - the very contagious Covid-19 will spread in those camps at an unprecedented rate. Bangladesh’s unfit healthcare system makes it almost obvious that the country will not be able to give adequate medical assistance to the refugees – ultimately leading to the death of thousands for which Bangladesh will have to face heavy international criticism, and it will even give Myanmar the opportunity to demand for compensation from Bangladesh.   For Bangladesh, losing this battle against Covid-19 would therefore mean the beginning of a cascade of disasters, ultimately leaving this fast-developing country with millions of its people dead, a damaged economy and foiled reputation internationally. Nirmala Saha is a former stringer of France24 TV.   (Added: Thu Apr 16 2020 Hits: 33 Rating: 0.00 Votes: 0) Rate It

Financial markets lost so much value and the world economy is suffering. As a result of this Coronavirus, Tang lost millions in value from his stock market and other business markets and couldn’t handle the situation of letting people down that he was closely invested with. Tang’s wife, Chunhua, alerted hotel staff where he was staying when he didn’t respond to her calls and she became suspicious as she said Tang was acting unusual for a week in the family home. Police came to the conclusion that Tang had gone to the hotel to kill himself and he had planned it for a few days and knew what he was going to do and how.   • Joe Batt's Arms and Other Islands - Book Title: Joe Batt’s Arm and Other Islands Author: Shayne Coffin The unusual title of Shayne Coffin’s most recent collection of poetry is a nod to his recent pilgrimage to Newfoundland and its transformative effect on his psyche, which he chronicles in the pages of Joe Batt’s Arm and Other Islands. Coffin’s journey took place over two summers and the poems tell not only of the features and experiences of the trips, but also subtly detail the changes to the poet himself. The travel which Coffin undertook, over 9000kms across large parts of the North American Eastern Seaboard, has clearly had a cathartic and healing effect on the author. The first part of the collection, An Audience with the Masters, written during his initial trip in 2017, begins with an exploration of the birthplaces and communities of famous poets. These poems are a labour of love to the writers who have shaped modern poetry. Neighbours offers a good contrast between Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe, Coffin’s lively descriptions breathing life into each author. His imaginative imagery of the graveyard where Emily Dickinson rests effortlessly transports the reader to West Highway Burying Ground: “You are not a single entity, crossed over hidden portals, but divided into millions of editions.” Coffin’s admiration for these writers infuses each page, while also vividly describing the various settings he visited. The second part of the collection chronicles his exploration of Canada’s Maritime Provinces. The poetry is full of colourful description, with poems like Confederation Bridge bringing the region to life: “I race across the crystal Sahara, to sink my restless foot into your blood red shoreline.” Other selections, such as Carriage Ride Through Lunenburg, Summerside Motel and Reflections After a Dip in the Pool focus more on the people of the region, who are described effectively through Coffin’s colourful verse. A melancholy tone fills this part of the book, which finishes with the poignant In Lieu of a Suicide Attempt, written a few weeks after the trip ended. The final section details the pinnacle of Coffin’s trip, his pilgrimage the following summer through Quebec to Newfoundland and Labrador. His awe and enthusiasm for this part of the country is palpable, as we read in Birch Island Boardwalk: “You are a beautiful isolated collage of outsiders, and I want to sew myself to your spread, the hypnotized mainlander.” Poems like Before Leaving Big Land, Fogo Head Trail and Romantic Death at St. Lunaire-Griquet imaginatively animate the rocky province. The poem for which the collection is named, Joe Batt’s Arm, is a lyrical love letter to the land of Coffin’s ancestors, and the reader feels a more optimistic tone taking hold. The book opens with a quote from Louisa May Alcott: “I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning how to sail my ship.” This optimistic outlook is how Coffin concludes his anthology, with the poem First Anniversary in the Gaspe Peninsula. His renewed resolve echoes throughout this last poem: “Today is a special day for me, because I am here, to hop scotch and leap dangerously shaped boulders…To find some sort of cure through travel and history, I am not afraid to leave this time…I am an island.” Shayne Coffin’s most recent collection of poetry is an interesting exploration of a region and of a man, transporting the reader along a captivating journey.   • 1 in 3 CISOs feel biggest challenge of endpoint solution is its complexity - November 21, 2019: Today, the typical organization has hundreds if not thousands of endpoints: desktops, workstations, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, access points, printers, IP-cams, USB devices, credit card readers, POS devices, servers, cloud VMs, and virtual desktops. The addition of IoT devices will increase the number of endpoints even more. Traditional anti-malware, signature-based, and file-scanning solutions will not be able to keep up and manage all those endpoints. This raised concerns with organizations delving into endpoint security. CISO MAG, an information security news website and publication from EC-Council conducted a multiple-choice survey, in the month of October 2019 to present new research on the usage of endpoint security solutions. 3 key takeaways The three prominent findings that stand out in the survey are: 1. The best of both: Half of all companies (53.19%) that participated in this survey are using both EPP and EDR solutions. 2. Endpoint visibility: Almost half of the respondents (46.38%) want real-time endpoint and application visibility. 3. Managed services: Two-thirds (62.55%) said their endpoint solution included managed endpoint detection services. Some vendors are sweetening their offerings by bundling endpoint monitoring and management services. These services offer in-depth or advanced threat hunting, forensics, and remediation services. Another key trend is that endpoint protection is now moving to the cloud, with SaaS-based services for monitoring endpoints. The demand for endpoint security services has increased as cloud security has improved. Traditionally, endpoints were centrally managed from an on-premise server communicating with agents on the endpoints. This shifts the responsibility of managing endpoints out of the enterprise and into the hands of managed security services providers (MSSPs). Here are some key findings of the survey, indicating that many organizations still need to complete their endpoint security deployments. Key Findings More than half the respondents (62.98%) have been using an endpoint security solution for some time. It is surprising to note that 14.89% are not using any endpoint security solution. The rest of the respondents (22.13%) are either in the process of evaluating a solution, implementing a solution, or conducting pilot trials. Almost half the respondents (46.38%) agree that an endpoint security solution offers better or real-time endpoint and application visibility. A quarter of the respondents (25.11%) said there was increased usage of mobile devices and endpoints in their organizations. A fifth (20.85%) agreed there was increased volume and complexity of breaches. More than half (53.19%) are using a combination of EPP and EDR solutions while the rest are using one or the other. Two-thirds (62.55%) said their endpoint solution included managed endpoint detection services while a little over one-third (37.45%) said they were not using such services. More than half the respondents (52.34%) said the main factor in deciding the type of endpoint solution they want is the technical capability of the solution. A third of the respondents (32.77%) said the biggest challenge is the complexity of deploying, managing, and using the endpoint solution. Methodology The online survey was conducted by CISO MAG readers from EC-Council’s database. The respondents represent a cross-section of organizations from over 42 countries. Responses were received from those living in the U.S., U.K., UAE, Singapore, Egypt, and The Netherlands. Entries were also received from islands in the Caribbean Sea, such as St. Vincent & The Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago.
