The members range from normal people, to food critics, tourists, and a lot of restaurant owners. The discussions are mostly about: new dishes, pictures of food & menus, food recommendations at non-vegan restaurants, where to eat in certain parts of town, and news about upcoming vegan events.
40 of the 200 groups they built, are very active, with about 5,000+ members each, and maybe 50 posts or comments a day. Such as: Vegan Los Angeles CA, Boston MA, Denver CO, Houston TX, Washington DC, Colorado CO, Raleigh NC, Louisville KY, Charlotte NC, Belin Germany, Alexandria Egypt, Atlanta GA, San Antonio TX, Austin TX, Phoenix AZ, Philadelphia PA, Omaha NE, Miami FL, New York City, Las Vegas NV, Seattle WA, Detroit MI, Dallas TX, Beijing China, ...and many more.
They have a group of volunteers that help. In Los Angeles alone, they have about 10 volunteers which are Facebook group moderators. They keep the spam out, and make sure the comments are clean.
Matt Falcone, the owner of Louis Capet XXVI which is a laser company, became vegetarian in 94, and vegan in 2004. Falcone said, from 04 to 2012, he was starving himself several times a day... thinking, "What can I eat?" or, "Where can I go to eat?", and "What will I order?" After sitting very hungry for a few hours, and repeating this routine daily, Falcone said he would just eat the same meal again as yesterday, some fruit, or french fries. By 2012, he was going on 5 years now, eating mostly only 5 or 6 potatoes everyday. It led him to acquire osteoporosis, and also being anemic, which are bone & blood disorders. Falcone said, he was becoming very frustrated that he couldn't find a vegan restaurant nearby on google, let alone in the entire City of Philadelphia, where there were very few vegan restaurants. To make matters worse, when going out to eat, people were saying, "Please stop asking the waiter or waitress what the ingredients are in the food."
With no one to speak to about local restaurant recommendations, such as... "What can I order to eat in this part of town?" and no help from google or Facebook, Falcone said to himself, "I can't be the only person in the world with this problem." Searching Facebook in 2012, he noticed there were only a few vegan groups, and none were local, nor city based. So, he went and gathered a list of the 200 most populated cities around the world, and began building 175 groups. 10 years later, they now have 125,000 members.
Today, Falcone says, "I must of been a match-maker for hundreds of vegans over the past 10 years. I must of converted tens of thousands of meat eaters, or vegetarians into vegans. I can't believe what I am looking at here sometimes. These are some of the greatest websites on the internet. This is probably the best thing I've ever seen, and I own a laser light show company that performs at festivals."

John Muhammad and his accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, were arrested in connection with the attacks on October 24, 2002, following tips from alert citizens. John ultimately sought to kill his ex-wife, gain custody of their children, and claim money given to victims' families.
After he was caught, Muhammad was executed by lethal injection in 2009.
