THINKWARE, the world-leading dash cam company, has announced the launch of its X700 model, which is now available on Amazon for £199. It is a THINKWARE DASH CAM offering full touch screen capability.

With innovation and product development at its heart, THINKWARE has introduced the sleek, compact X700 to offer road users a comprehensive car camera complete with a touch screen, offering a product that non-tech savvy users will find simple to use.

Boasting safety features with its Road Safety Warning System, the X700 provides audio and visual alerts with Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Forward Collision Warning System / Urban Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS/uFCWS) and Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW), giving the driver clear warning signs if the device detects that the vehicle is beginning to stray from its lane or is at risk of a collision.

The X700 two channel product records front and rear footage in FHD 1080p, at 30 FPS. This is high-quality enough to capture car number plate detail, street names and road symbols. The camera also features a G-sensor which monitors acceleration, detecting sudden changes in direction.
The camera comes equipped with Format Free 2.0 technology ensuring reliable file storage without the need to regularly reformat the memory card. The X700 is compatible with SD cards from 16GB, to 64GB in capacity.

The Time Lapse function of the X700 records footage at 2 frames per second, reducing the amount of memory required in parking mode. Energy Saving Parking Recording, which offers event recording triggered by the G-sensor, 20 seconds after the trigger at 15 FPS, reduces the current drain thus increasing the duration of parking mode.

The X700 also comes equipped with Super Night Vision capability in parking mode, which allows more defined recordings in dark environments such as dark alleyways or underground car parks. This capability helps drivers to better identify subjects from images.

The X700 two-channel option comes with the hardwire cable and GPS antenna for speed camera alerts. For users who want to transfer the product from vehicle to vehicle a cigar lighter power cable can be bought as an accessory as well as the suction mount.

Brian Yang, THINKWARE’s General Manager of Global Business Development says: “The THINKWARE DASH CAM X700 is a great asset to the brand’s portfolio. Its high image quality together with the touch screen LCD feature allows drivers to directly check recordings and driving footage on the 2.7” screen in intricate detail. The X700 has an array of driver assistance features which provides an optimal safe driving environment, providing multiple features such as Road Safety Warning System, Energy Saving Parking Recording and Super Night Vision.”

The latest car camera in THINKWARE’s portfolio will retail at £199 for a two-channel camera with GPS and a 16GB SD, with one-channel versions starting at £159. Available on Amazon, the RAC and thinkwaredashcam.uk.
