Can lightning strike the same place twice? This entrepreneur is hoping so

Remember sometime around 15 years ago when a British entrepreneur took the internet by storm attempting to sell 1million pixels on his website for a dollar each? Those of you who know what I’m talking about will instantly be typing milliondollarhomepage.com into your web browser, but this article is about a totally different website.
Alex Tew would of course eventually sell all 1million pixels and then go on to found the hugely successful calm.com, his milliondollarhomepage now a graveyard of dead links.
Fast forward to present day and an entrepreneur going by the name “PixelBoss” is hoping that after 15 years, the same idea can work again and make him (or her!) the second Pixel selling millionaire - and with over 1000 pixels taken in the websites first 24 hours live it looks like it might just happen.
www.pixeltimecapsule.com has the familiar look of the original site, and a nice pick your blocks then buy system that actually makes the purchase process quite fun, but “PixelBoss” has also tried to resolve one of the issues of MillionDollarHomepage by adding an archive feature.
When asked about the differences between the original and the latest attempt the creator responded with “I wanted to have something that I can look back on in the future, Milliondollarhomepage has a lot of dead links now, so I added a way to look back at the sites at the time pixels were bought and as the links die I will instead link to the archive pages. It will be fun to look at in 10 or 15 years time”.
Will the pixel sales continue, will another pixel millionaire be made? Only time will tell.
