Norfolk riding instructor’s first book after horror cow attack

Surviving a cow attack led to a Norfolk riding instructor finally completing her five-star-rated debut novel.
Lisa Buck was left with broken bones and a head injury after being repeatedly crushed by the animal last autumn.
During her recovery, the 51-year-old decided to write the final few chapters of her first book, The Aquarius Nation.
Lisa has been rewarded with a string of rave reviews and also reaching the top ten of Amazon’s highly-competitive fiction charts.
She explained: “In October 2021 I was crushed by a cow that I had helped birth her calf.
“I ended up with a broken shoulder, sternum and rib cage.
“My head was badly injured too.
“It took me a while to get out of the barn because every-time I tried to move the cow came back and attacked me.
“Luckily I did get out - I didn’t think I would.
“During that ordeal my overriding thought was, ‘there is so much more I want to do’.
“After I recovered the first thing I did was write the ending to my book.”
The Aquarius Nation is a gripping and intelligent love story that follows the fortunes of Rebecca and Chris.
