Pressbox (Press Release) -
Chow Kit – Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) together with Official Trustee Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, have been working on breaking the cycle of poverty in the Chow Kit area, serving as a “change agent” by providing education, shelter, and care support for underprivileged children; and Black Suit Media (BSM) has reached out to offer their support to contribute to this cause.
The foundation seeks to provide a safe haven for these children, give opportunities to reach their fullest potential, and produce positive change in the community. The young entrepreneurs of BSM thought that it is important to be part of this noble cause. The charity effort is BSM’s answer to be part of the aspiration, enact social change in the community, give back to the less fortunate, and raise awareness for society.
Speaking at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between BSM and YCK at the latter’s headquarters yesterday, Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin said, "I am grateful to Black Suit Media for entering into this partnership with Yayasan Chow Kit. At the most basic level, the monetary contributions will help YCK carry out our usual activities at this tough time coming out of the Movement Control Order. More than that, YCK can benefit from Black Suit Media's media expertise, and most importantly, the children of YCK will gain new skills and insights by observing and working with the dynamic team."
Meanwhile, in her speech YCK Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Ananti A/P Rajasingham said “We are truly blessed to have this partnership with Black Suit Media. We will ensure all contributions directed to us through this partnership will support our education and food needs for the children. We strongly believe it is through education, we can change the cycle of poverty and are grateful that Black Suit Media is aligned with our belief!”
BSM manager Mr Naz Danial Nadzri said: “I feel happy to be part of this important cause. Even if it’s a small part, we are honoured that some of our effort goes into helping these children. Children are the nation’s assets and they play a major role as the future leaders of Malaysia – regardless of who they were. We feel that if they were given a chance, then they will succeed – and I want to see that”.
The MOU was signed between Mr Naz Danial and Mrs. Ananti A/P Rajasingham. The ceremony was witnessed by Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, and Mr. Bernhard Schutte, Chairman of TAPiO Management Advisory, parent company of BSM together with Mr. Thomas Bernthaler, Managing Partner of TAPiO Management Advisory.
Under the MOU, Black Suit Media will donate a portion of their revenue towards the healthcare, food, and education for the children’s development at Yayasan Chow Kit.
