The magazine praised Ratchaburi Power Plant Project, as it was the largest Thai Baht project financing. It raised a 14-year loan of Bt44 billion from 17 local banks and financial institutes.
M.L. Chayotid Kridakon, the Managing Director of SCB Securities said, “We are very proud that our performance was recognised on a global level. We were not only a financial advisor to the Ratchaburi project, but also a lead underwriter for the project’s thriving initial public offering which raised funds from investors all over Thailand.”
“The success of this project has proved that our rational to raise funds domestically and to focus on selling shares to local people was appropriate. We would advise the same strategy to other privatisation projects in the future.”
M.L. Chayotid also said that “Wining the award demonstrates that our advisory and investment banking services can compete on an international level. We will continue to develop high quality staff in this field in order to strengthen Thailand’s capital market and bring in high-quality products to our clients.”
