No dust to settle

Degafloor is always looking to innovate and lead the way in the UK resin flooring market by the introduction of industry leading products and systems.
In December 2017 an amendment to Directive 2004/37/EC (which regulates the protection of workers from risks arising from the exposure to carcinogens or mutagens in the workplace), established an EU wide limit for respirable crystalline silica at 0.1mg/m3.
HSE Construction Information Sheet No 36 Construction Dust, talks further about the importance of the control of dust on site and the dangers to operatives, but the best protection against fine dust is to prevent it in the first place.
As a result of this as from January 2018 Degafloor will be phasing in ‘dust free’ fillers for use within its systems.
Fillers for use in the body coat of our standard systems and High Strength Repair Mortar have been tested according to DIN EN 15051-3 Workplace Exposure Measurement of the Dustiness of Bulk Materials and has been classified as ‘dust free’.
This not only has the added health benefits to the floor laying teams but also leads to a cleaner working environment on site, resulting in less contamination and tidying.
