Mobile App based IoT product Mobicar launched in Chennai and Coimbatore
1. Launch of Mobicar
Mobicar is an IoT based automotive accessory that allows users to access their cars through their mobile. It has been launched by Thaavak Technologies, for the Indian market on the 17th of February, 2019 in Coimbatore and Chennai. The app is available in both Android and IoS platforms.
2. What it does
Mobicar allows users to access their car through their phone. Adding the kit to even a 15-year old economic vehicle can deploy some of the features of a latest top-end car. It not only gives convenience to the users, but also helps them secure their car. One can start or stop their stationary car from anywhere in the world. With the dangers of hot interiors looming with the impending summer, users can also start the air conditioning before they go to the car to make sure it is cool enough for them to comfortably sit. It has a plethora of other features like finding the car in a huge parking lot, tracking the position of the car real-time, etc.
3. What does it mean for general public
Most cars come with the necessary hardware for a lot of top notch features. Depending on how much they pay, they get different variants and features. Often, this cost may run into few tens of thousands of rupees. Mobicar allows you to enjoy such features in your low/ mid variants without having to spend that extra 40 or 50 thousand rupees. Mobicar can work with any model, making it relevant for cars that are released today or for those that are already 15 years old.
