Do's and Don'ts of Steel Scaffolding Planks Assembly

Added: (Wed Dec 14 2022)

Pressbox (Press Release) - In the construction industry, steel planks is much better than bamboo or wood scaffolding planks in terms of durability and safety. However, if the assembling of the steel plank is improper, there will still be the possibility of stepping empty and other accidents. During the use of this kind of scaffolding plank, how to improve the safety of use is a problem that needs continuous attention.

During construction, how to improve the application safety of scaffolding planks?

1. When objects or workers step on the steel plank, to prevent objects or workers from falling, it is forbidden to leave a large gap between the platform and the plank. At the same time, the gap of the work platform or plank should be less than 35mm, which can better reduce the possibility of falling objects.

2. Prevent accidental tripping during passing. If there are obvious bumps and unbalance in the connection and erection of the steel planks, it is easy to occur accident when stepping on. Therefore, the height difference of the whole scaffolding plank plane should be controlled within 4mm.

3. Try to avoid accidental falls of steel scaffold planks. In the installation process of the steel plank, the adjacent steel scaffolding plank should be fixed by welding. For movable steel grid planks, it can be fixed with special mounting clips, which can better reduce the possibility of abnormal falling off of the steel planks, so as to improve safety.
