Pressbox (Press Release) -
New York – Dalet Digital Media Systems and Champion Computer Corporation recently formed a partnership to offer an Internet broadcast system capable of streaming over 100 channels of audio and associated multimedia content. This highly scalable solution is based upon Dalet’s broadcast software operating on IBM servers that have been configured to attain large-scale content storage and streaming. To achieve this, Dalet has conducted extensive tests of its software on IBM servers to determine the optimal configuration for large environments.
This partnership also offers webcasters a turnkey service for implementation. By working together, Dalet and Champion can offer webcasters a single source for design, procurement, installation, training, and support.
Champion’s expertise in storage management and IBM equipment coupled with Dalet’s expertise in content management and broadcasting offer a compelling solution for webcasters.
Chris Pyle, President of Champion comments, “We are extremely delighted to work with Dalet. Through this relationship we are able to integrate our expertise in the creation of highly available, reliable, scalable storage area networks with Dalet’s outstanding broadcast software capabilities, to provide webcasters with a one-stop service that will reduce the hassles of setting up their infrastructure.”
“This partnership represents an exciting opportunity for webcasters,” adds Stephane Guez, CEO of Dalet. “While offering 2 or 3 webcast channels is a relatively simple feat, providing over 100 channels raises some significant scalability issues in terms of storage, content management, and simultaneous outputs. This partnership allows us to offer webcasters an integrated, cost-effective solution that overcome these hurdles.”
For more details, Dalet will be hosting a press conference at the StreamingMedia East Conference (NY Hilton and Towers, NYC), June 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the Gibson Suite, or stop by Dalet’s booth, #324.
