Women in Sport, India is founded by Vaidehi Vaidya. Originally an engineer, she always was inclined towards sports. During her engineering years, she started playing football and fell in love with the game. And so, decided to make her career in sports by doing a unique course of MBA in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool. She did her final research project with UEFA on ‘Women’s Football in India’. This seeded the idea of working for women’s sports.
Before WISI, She was a football development consultant with the Asian Football Development Project. Vaidehi has handled over 11 different youth and women’s football development projects all over Asia. She is a member of first official FIFA Fan Forum and she has written several articles on sports. She is a uniquely qualified consultant and adviser for Women’s Sports.
