Redheads Miss Out Under The Misteltoe

Pressbox (Press Release) - Red and Proud, the organisation formed to unite the Redheads of the U.K. have discovered that unlike the rest of the working population, most Redheads are not looking forward to the Christmas Party season.

For some reason, Christmas is a difficult time of year for Redheads.
An on-line poll ran on the Red and Proud website has revealed that despite an atmosphere of festive celebration, and many office workers ending an alcohol soaked Christmas Do with a romantic clinch in the stationary cupboard, only 12% of Redheads have ever struck lucky under the mistletoe at the workplace.

"It does seem that Redheads are missing out on the Christmas tradition of a quick kiss and cuddle behind the filing cabinets" bemoans Red and Proud founder Simon Cheetham.

Red and Proud received many harrowing tales of how the Spirit of Christmas seems to by-pass red blooded Redheads of both sexes.
"One of our visitors to the website relayed the tale of an office party in Manchester last year that descended into a drunken orgy, the only people who did not pair up were two Redheads who left their colleagues to it and went and had a Pizza".

This year though, Red and Proud hope the country’s Gingernuts will do themselves justice at the annual office bash.
"We feel that this year, with Redhair being so fashionable , we will get our share of Christmas stuffing" claims Simon, "We have had enough of seeing our duller colleagues getting all the action, we Redheads are determined to make this Christmas Party season an amorous one for the Auburns."

The poll also revealed that only 28% of Redheads actually get what they want for Christmas.
"It’s difficult to know if a general feeling of disappointment and malaise is confined to us Redheads, or that it’s a national thing" explains Simon.

Other interesting facts to come out of the poll are that 76% of the country’s Redtops feel that Red is the best colour for Santa’s outfit, 14% would like more Carrots with their Christmas Lunch and a staggering 88% feel the Queen would look better when she makes her Christmas Speech to the Nation if she wore a red wig or dyed her hair Red.
