Pressbox (Press Release) - R2RŪ launch Online “Interview Room”

The Cambridge based Recruitment to Recruitment (R2R) team announce the launch of an Internet based “Interview Room” within their new jobs portal: www.r2r.co.uk. Initially, the site is exclusively for jobs within the recruitment industry and is ready to go live on August 1st.

In addition to browsing jobs up to Director level, visitors have the unusual opportunity to explore a new job with an employer online. The dialogue between candidate and interviewer takes place in “The Interview Room” in complete privacy. Visitors automatically gain access after registering and interviewees have the additional protection of anonymity via a unique username. Once online, interviews continue until either participant decides to withdraw or is ready to arrange a meeting. R2R claim that a face-to-face interview following this stage is far more likely to reach a positive conclusion because the key issues will have been fully explored online, by both parties.

Nick Rayner, R2R MD explains: “The Interview Room” is a viable new opportunity for employers experiencing skill shortages to reach a large pool of high-quality personnel. It is ideal for candidates at any level of seniority, who may be keen to explore a new job but who are also concerned about confidentiality, or who have limited time for interviews. Certainly our approach will encourage more successful applicants to explore a job move, who might otherwise be too settled to take the trouble. “The Interview Room” now makes it very easy for anyone to attend a full, in-depth interview and to ask and answer all the relevant questions. Furthermore, all this happens comfortably seated in front of a PC. Although “The Interview Room” is being launched within the recruitment industry, there is no reason why it should not be used for the development of careers within any business sector.”

Once registered, visitors to the website enter “The Lobby” which is an open Chat Room. Here they can meet industry colleagues and employers looking to hire, or arrange a confidential meeting in “The Interview Room”. Visitors can also browse, select or post vacancies or place an anonymous job wanted notice, within a specialist sector. A small annual charge is made to employers, enabling them to post an unlimited number of jobs.
