His Excellency, the President of India, to be the Chief Guest of Bharat Vikas Parishad's Golden Jubi

Pressbox (Press Release) - His Excellency, The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji has kindly consented to become the Chief Guest of Bharat Vikas Parishad's National Group Song Competition.

Bharat Vikas Parishad is a service-cum-sanskar oriented, non-political, socio-cultural voluntary organisation with over 1350 Branches and morethan 125000 members. Since its inception in 1963, it is dedicated to the development and growth of the country in all fields of human endeavour - cultural, social, academic, moral, national and spiritual - by promoting a sense of patriotism, national unity and integrity.

As part of its Sanskar projects, since 1967, Bharat Vikas Parishad has been organising National Group Song Competition(NGSC) of patriotic songs among school children at Branch, State, Region and finally National levels, where more than 5,00,000 students from over 50,000 Schools take part in Hindi and Sanskrit songs competition from all over the country every year.

This year, on the 50th anniversary of the beginning of NGSC, the celebrations will be on a grand scale. The programme that is scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 10th of December, 2017 at NDMC Convention Centre, Palika Kendra, New Delhi, will have the President, Shri. Ram Nath Kovind for the closing ceremony and the awards giving ceremony.
