EASTENDERS STAR SUPPORTS LIFE SAVING SYSTEM

Added: (Mon Aug 20 2001)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Craig Fairbrass (Dan from Eastenders)is supporting a new nationwide system that helps trace families in an emergency.
The organisation is called NEXT OF KIN and it provides a unique membership card or key ring which enables the emergency services to locate your next of kin. The system is completely unique in the UK and was created from a real life incident. Craig recently commented on GMTV "Everyone in the country should have one of these, I had someone die in my arms eight years ago and for two days no-one knew who he was or how to trace his family!"
ACPO (The Association of Chief Police Officers) have recognised the system and have recommended it to all UK Police Headquarters. John Giffard Chairman of ACPO and Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police Said "We recognise the difficulties of getting in touch with next of kin after an accident or emergency and welcome any means that makes this more efficient."
