Graphico New Media launched Natalie Imbruglia’s official interactive website this week, for its long-term client, BMG Entertainment.
Graphico has developed a full flash site and this animation allows users to actually flick through the pages of Natalie’s filofax, making the site a far more personal experience. Fans not only gain an insight into her life but also receive messages directly from Natalie, so that they feel a lot closer to her.
Natalie herself has been personally involved in the site’s development and wanted to create a site that would, not only enable her to communicate with her fans, but would also reflect elements of her own life. As Natalie carries her filofax wherever she goes, Graphico used the filofax as the site’s main interface.
Blair Schooff, BMG New Media Director, said “This is the first website we have commissioned where the artist is personally involved on a regular basis. The graphics behind the filofax interface are visually stunning and far from detracting from the content, actually form part of the overall experience.”
When Natalie visits the site to chat with her fans in the bulletin board, they will know it’s her as the text will appear in blue. The bulletin board also lets fans chat with other users about the site and share information. They can flick through the pages to keep up-to-date with what Natalie is doing, view snapshots (some taken by Natalie herself) and listen to soundclips from her latest releases.
Said Graham Darracott, Graphico’s Sales and Marketing Director, “The fact that this is the official Natalie Imbruglia website was obviously going to attract a lot of visitors to the site. We wanted to create something that was as cool and dynamic as Natalie’s own image. Since its launch, ratings have gone through the roof and from the message board it is clear that fans love the graphics as much as they love Natalie!”
