HOUSTON, (21 June 2001) – Energy Exchange, a leader in connecting energy projects with financial sources, announced today that it is playing a lead role in helping solve the international energy crisis.
“President Bush stated recently that the real energy problem is not a shortage of petroleum but really a shortage of refinery capacity, “ said David Mangum, President and Founder of Energy Exchange. “In response to this need, Energy Exchange has agreed to play a leading role in building several new refineries in the USA and abroad that will help address the world's critical energy need. We have helped source the enormous funding needed to make this two-part project possible. In phase one, three refineries will be refurbished and in the second phase, two new, high-capacity refineries will be built. These refinery projects brings together multiple players from across the petroleum industry and around the world,” said Mangum.
“This project is large and very complex, but Energy Exchange had the contacts and expertise to help pull it all together. We are proud to play this role in an initiative that will benefit our country as well as our clients,” Mangum said.
