PREMIER LODGE ‘DRIVING’THE BRAND FORWARD
To further promote its fast-growing Premier Lodge budget accommodation brand, Scottish & Newcastle Retail (S&N Retail) has launched an innovative nation-wide advertising campaign designed to target Premier Lodge’s core market of business people and leisure travellers ‘out on the road’. Premier Lodge is the first brand in the hotel industry to brand entire lorries and this simple, cost-effective, yet highly targeted campaign is set to reach an estimated 15 million people during the next 12 months.
The campaign comprises branding over 90 lorries, which deliver food daily to S&N Retail’s 2,300 pubs and restaurants throughout the UK stretching from Inverness to Penzance. The high impact design which includes the eye-catching Premier Lodge logo and strapline, ‘The Best Rest Assured’, as well as online and telephone booking details will be seen on all major roads throughout the UK from the beginning of February. Says Nick Read, Premier Lodge’s brand development director, “With the increasing mobility of the UK population, our new campaign is perfectly placed to capture both business and leisure travellers who now spend more time ‘on the road’ than ever before. This campaign, alongside our commitment to cut a niche for ourselves by providing the best in contemporary budget accommodation, will ensure that Premier Lodge attracts new customers and is the preferred choice for both business and
leisure travellers alike.”
The move follows UK leisure operator Scottish & Newcastle Retail’s recent announcement that it is focusing its efforts into four main growth areas, one of which being its successful budget accommodation brand, Premier Lodge.
