Merger Brings New Technology That Offers Free Music Online

NetBeat, Europe’s most established online music distributor, announced today that it will be merging with SoundG (www.soundg.com ), a leading German online music distributor based in Frankfurt. This aggressive move into the German market highlights NetBeat’s continued European rollout following another funding round earlier this year.

NetBeat (www.netbeat.com ) already has offices in London, Brussels and will shortly be opening in Paris. The merger with SoundG gives NetBeat a significant presence in Germany as well as the access to SoundG’s unique technology which provides owners of music copyright with revenue for downloads whilst offering free music to consumers.

Paid4Music, SoundG’s new business concept and technology, offers a solution to music copyright owners who have not been able to generate revenues from music downloaded from the Internet.
