Grey Interactive Completes Strategic Restructuring to Propel Agency Into New Digital Age

Grey Interactive Services (“Grey Interactive”), the digital professional services firm specialising in e-business and e-marketing consultancy and implementation, today announces the completion of an aggressive restructuring programme, designed to improve financial, operational and growth performance, as well as to provide an even more focused client-driven service.
Initiated in May of this year, the programme pre-empted changing market conditions and involved a fundamental review of the core operational structure, as well as working practices across the company. The traditional departmental structure has been replaced in favour of a newly installed team-based structure, which has been organised around five industry sectors, known as practice areas. The formation of teams is expected to deliver significant improvements in agency operational efficiency, leading to improved financial performance. In addition, the dedication of teams to clients is intended to deliver consistent and focused resource expertise, leading to improved business results and greater client satisfaction.
Grey Interactive has also streamlined its management function to embrace the agency’s new fluid structure. The Executive Management Team has been slimmed to five people and will be concerned mainly with the implementation of strategic objectives. An Operational Management Team of seven, comprising of discipline leaders to support the sector based practice leaders, has been created to report to the Executive Management Team.
The company also announced record results for the financial year ended September 30th. UK turnover increased more than 170% to in excess of £5m, which was well ahead of management’s expectations. This reflected contributions from new business wins and an increased proportion of repeat business from existing clients.
Brian Lee, Chief Executive, commented: “While we expect demand for digital services to continue to rise, we also acknowledge that clients will require greater accounting in the services that companies such as ours provide. Of course, this involves accounting of monies spent, but it further includes accounting of service delivery. Our aim in restructuring the company was to put in place a model, which ensures excellence in levels of delivery and performance.”
