Exposure and Channelfly Mastermind Exclusive Promotional Launch Gig and National Promotion to Bring High Fidelity Back to Its North London Music Roots

Buena Vista Home Entertainment's agency Exposure has chosen to work with Channelfly plc and its media outlets to promote the retail launch of the film High Fidelity. Positioned at the cutting edge of the music industry Channelfly was selected for its strong reputation for spotting and promoting the hottest new alternative bands throughout the UK.

Exposure selected Channelfly to provide the High Fidelity promotion with the street cool and underground music association it needed to successfully position the movie with its core target audience of 18-34 music and movie enthusiasts in the UK. As publishers of The Fly music magazine and a number of underground music related websites, broadcasters of SBN national student radio and club promoters across the UK, Channelfly provided immediate links with the core themes of Nick Hornby's original book and was uniquely placed to provide a complete cross group package and the credibility needed to target this key audience.

Central to the deal was the Group’s Barfly Club that booked and is hosting the High Fidelity gig by the hottest band of the year - Feeder. Tickets are available only from an exclusive promotion in The Independent newspaper, with guest list promotions running via The Fly, HMV.co.uk, Xfm and Feederweb. The promotion achieves significant broadscale amplification all brought together by the website www.thehighfidelitygig.com

The Fly will be publishing a branded “High-Fidelity top fives” feature, and along with SBN will be running guest list give-aways, culminating in channelfly.com and HMV.co.uk webcasting the gig.
