War on Links !

Added: (Fri Apr 19 2002)

Pressbox (Press Release) - The Danish Newspaper Association has started a war on links together with other International Newspaper Associations.

Denmark, Copenhagen, January 2002 - The Danish Newspaper Assosiation(DDF) has for a long time subpoenaed Danish news services that are monitoring links to relevant news stories.

The Association(DDF) wants to stop all “deep linking”, and only allows links to the front page of a newspapers website.

Until now, the national news services that they have subpoenaed, have stopped their “deep linking”.

But Newsbooster.com is ready to fight and has taken the case to Court.
Newspaper organisations around the world have lost several cases like this, and the Association is hoping that this will be an international victory that can be used to change the way we use the Internet.

Newsbooster.com believes that we are giving the Newspapers a high value by delivering a lot of users to their website! And Newsbooster.com respect if a News Service have a “Robots.txt”-file that exclude search robots.
