8th February 2002 -- One of the leading legal specialists in corporate and commercial legal work in the North West, Manchester-based Wacks Caller has chosen Qikker Solutions’ web-native ‘Talent Pool Building’ service to support its development plans. Founded in 1986, the last two years have been particularly successful for Wacks Caller and have resulted in a an increased head count of over 30%.

The company evaluated at a number of options over a three-month period, paying particular attention to Internet-based services. This resulted in the selection of a new web-native ‘Talent Pool Building’ service from Qikker Solutions. Appropriate potential applicants are encouraged to register their interest ‘on-line’ via a new careers section on the Wacks Caller website (more about this?) which replaced the old passive careers section typical of most current websites.
“We chose Qikk Prospector as it met all our selection criteria for a new approach,” said Simon Wallwork, Wacks Caller’s partner in charge of the project. “Our HR staff and line managers are able to use the back-end application to manage the recruitment process from creation and posting vacancies, through to the selection and appointment of a candidate. We also particularly like the fact that appropriate candidates register their interest directly into our database, removing a significant administrative overhead, and enable us to build our own ‘talent pool’ of candidates for current and future vacancies,” he continued.
Qikk Prospector is delivered using a hosted application service provider (ASP) approach that results in a simple monthly rental charge for the use of the service. This results in no capital outlay requirement and no IT systems overhead as the service is accessed via a simple web browser on the user’s desktop. The application is brand-enabled so that it automatically assumes the current look and feel of a client’s website, and is simply configured by clients to reflect the roles, skills and competencies required by their business.
