Single Cup Coffee Makers For Serious Coffee Drinkers

Added: (Thu Feb 01 2018)

Pressbox (Press Release) - One of the greatest gadgets that I've ever bought is my Keurig B50 Single Cup Coffee Maker. It stores enough water at a time for 8 cups, takes about 30 seconds to brew, and small travel coffee maker totally eliminates wasted coffee that a larger pot might produce. The coffee comes in many varieties in a sealed container called a "K-Cup", but there are many flavors and types of coffee that haven't made it to K-Cup form yet. Keurig offers a special filter to use your own coffee, but in my opinion, it is a pain to use because it requires you to partially disassemble your coffee-maker to use it. It seemed that I was stuck paying a premium for convenience...

For the brew by the cup lovers there is the Wagan Personal Mini Coffee Maker, which looks nice enough to have permanently installed in your car. It comes equipped with an auto-stop drip and an on/off indicator light and a 12V plug at the end of a 6' cord, which allows you to set up your coffee station where you please. You can find the Wagan at Target for the low price of $24.99, making it one of the cheapest travel coffee makers available.

Do all of your errands on your way home from work. You waste a lot of gas going home from work and then heading out later to run any errands that you need to do. With the soaring prices of gas, you will save money with this one simple step everyday. Use this idea on the weekends as well. Do as many of your errands on one trip out of the house to save money and time.

I had an old style coffee maker with one of those pots that seem to be near impossible to get your hand into to clean it. Also, since I only had one pot, I spent a lot of time in the evenings or early in the mornings when I would rather be asleep scrubbing it down. There is nothing worse than the flavor of old nasty coffee so I was really particular about having the pot clean. Since I would drink it every morning, I didn't feel like it could go in the dishwasher. However, with this new one travel coffee maker I spend my time putting those cups in the dishwasher instead of washing them by hand. Also, with modern technology actually cleaning the one travel coffee pot is far easier too.

What's more, because the one travel coffee pot just brews a cup of coffee at a time, the issue of wastage is then solved. When you brew a whole pot, chances are, there will be leftover coffee at the end of the day. Not too many people would be willing to drink the leftover coffee, as it would be stale by then. Thus, wastage is inevitable with another type of coffee machine. The same cannot be said for the one travel coffee pot though.

Cuisinart is famous for their kitchen appliances, including coffee and espresso makers. Their entry in the 4-cup market is the DCC-450BK model. Unfortunately, this is a model plagued by issues, most notably a messy carafe.
